Monsoon brings along with itself cool and cloudy weather, giving relief from scorching heat and harsh sun. While everything around you is bright and beautiful you feel miserable due to the onset of many skin problems resulting from gluey and humid days. The skin becomes very oily or dehydrated, giving way to pimples, rashes and other skin infections.
Here are a few tips to follow this rainy season to cleanse your skin, leaving it refreshed and glowing.
Avoid Oily Food :
Say a strict no to oily and junk foods, instead opt for fresh fruits and salads. Keep yourself away from aerated drinks during monsoon, rather go for fresh lime and juices to avoid clinging skin.
Preserve your Skin Clean :
Wash your face with soap free and antibacterial cleanser 2-3 times a day to prevent oil and grime to root on the skin for longer. This will open and clean the pores and the skin can breathe freely.
Drink Enough Water :
Due to humidity skin loses a great deal of water in form of sweat, so drink at least 8-10 glasses of water to maintain the skin hydration.
Hold Open your Feet Clean :
Due to waterlogged streets, fungal infections attack feet very quickly. Wash your feet with water and antibacterial soap properly after returning home and wipe them quickly, especially between toes. Also, wash your shoes and dry them properly so that the dirt and water are not absorbed in and try to wear open footwear which let quick water flow.
Protect your Eyes From Infection :
There is a hazard of eye and skin infection due to exposure to dirty rainwater. Wash your eyes and face with fresh water and bath with lukewarm water later on, if soaked up in rainy water so as to prevent bacterial and fungal infection.
Use eye drops or contact a doctor immediately if redness persists for a longer period.
Wear Cotton Fabric :
Do not wear tight or skin fits clothes that keep sweat intact inside instead wear cotton or other delicate fabrics which let the skin breathe properly.
Do Not Forget to Care for Hairs :
Not only skin, but your hairs also need extra care during monsoon. Wash your hair often in 1-2 days regularly during monsoon as the humidity during the season attracts dust and pollution very quickly.
Don’t let the rains wreck your skin, so take charge of these basic and simple monsoon care tips and enjoy this dreamy weather to the fullest without any tension of infections and skin diseases.
